# Partnership deals

> Connect a partner by token, confirm with a number, set pool, discount and commission, manage the deal's lifecycle

Open **My referrals → Partners**. The page shows your partner token, the connect form and all deals with their terms, balances and journals.

## Connect a partner

  <Step title="Get the partner's token">
    Every company has a **partner token** (`PT_…`) on its Partners page. Ask the company you want to work with for theirs — or give them yours. The token can be regenerated at any time; existing deals survive it.

    Paste the token into **Connect a partner** and click **Connect**. The other company receives an e-mail and an in-app notification.

  <Step title="Confirm with a number">
    The deal starts as *Awaiting verification*. The initiator sees a number; the partner opens the request and picks the same number within **15 minutes**. This prevents connecting to the wrong company by a copied token.

  <Step title="Both sides set terms">
    After verification the deal is *Agreeing terms*. Each side saves its own terms; the deal becomes **Active** when both have confirmed. Promo codes are issued at that moment.

## Terms: pool and split

Each side of a deal has two independent settings.

| Setting                          | Who sets it                  | Meaning                                                                                       |

| **Your pool for the partner, %** | You                          | The share of *your* order amount you are ready to give away for a customer the partner brings |
| **Customer discount, %**         | The partner (from your pool) | Part of your pool the partner gives to the customer as a discount at your till                |
| **Commission, %**                | The partner (from your pool) | Part of your pool the partner keeps as reward                                                 |
| **Valid until**                  | Each side                    | Optional end date of that side's terms                                                        |

Discount + commission cannot exceed the pool. You cannot lower your pool below what the partner already splits. Currency is set once per deal (see [Commissions and settlements](/en/referral/settlements#currency)).

### Changing the rate

When you change terms on an active deal you choose what happens to already issued codes:

| Policy     | Effect                                                      |
| ---------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Keep**   | Existing codes keep the old rate, new codes get the new one |
| **Update** | Active codes get the new rate                               |
| **End**    | Old codes are deactivated and a new code is issued          |

Every change is stored in **Terms history** with the policy applied. Orders already redeemed keep the terms frozen at redemption.

## Lifecycle

| Status                | Meaning                                                                                                     |

| Awaiting verification | Request sent, number not yet confirmed (expires after 15 minutes)                                           |
| Agreeing terms        | Verified, waiting for both sides to confirm terms                                                           |
| Active                | Codes work, commissions accrue                                                                              |
| Paused                | Codes stop working; already issued customer rights keep working                                             |
| Ended                 | Codes stop; customer rights keep working for the **grace period** (30 days by default, a field of the deal) |
| Declined / Expired    | Request rejected or not confirmed in time                                                                   |

Ending a deal does not touch accrued commissions, balances or payouts. Reconnecting the same pair later issues new codes and never rewrites the terms of codes already given to customers.

* Members without the platform see nothing on this page.
* Payouts, holds and closing discrepancies are owner-only.
